Firstly...Something to share

Recent happenings has led me to realise once again that we do not appreciate things that are close to us until we lose them. Cherish what you have, people.

This is an animation film I would like to share with you. Byousoku 5cm or 秒速5センチメートル is a 1hr long film with distinctive illustrations of beautiful and unforgettable expanse of scenery, with every minute detail drafted out carefully. If you are someone who loves solitude and romance, do watch this :)

Tono Takaki had to part from Shinohara Akari after the gradation from the elementary school. Despite their secret thoughts, only time has passed. One day, Takasi is going to see Akari in the heavy snow.

This movie is a collection of three stories; the first episode, “Okasho,” shows the day of their reunion. In the next episode, “Cosmonaut,” the story about Takaki after the reunion takes place from the viewpoint of another person. The last episode, “Byosoku 5 centimeter,” clips out the movements of their thoughts.

The story shows the distance between the 2 lovers in 14years. If it the rate of the distance increases at 5cm per sec, it would be 2207.5km, the distance from the South to the North Pole.

This beautiful anime short was created entirely by one person, Makoto Shinkai, on his home computer. The Place We Promised in Our Early Days

In an alternate timeline, Japan was divided after losing World War II: Hokkaido was annexed by "Union" while Honshu and other southern islands were under US sovereignty. A gigantic yet mysterious tower was constructed at Hokkaido and could be seen clearly from Aomori (the northernmost prefecture of Honshu) across Tsugaru Strait. In the summer of 1996, three 9th-graders had made a promise that one day they'll build an aircraft and unravel the tower's mystery, but their project was abandoned after the girl, Sayuri Sawatari, began experiencing sleeping sickness and transferred to Tokyo for better treatment. Three years later, Hiroki Fujisawa accidentally found out that Sayuri had been in coma since then, and he asked Takuya Shirakawa to help him finding a way to revive her. What they don't know yet is that Sayuri's unconsciousness is somehow linked with secrets of the tower and the world.

So far, its been busy in school. Nevertheless, I must churn out something for the myself and the blog. (its still within a month, whew.)

I'm currently working on a one-shot with Yi Shuo. It will feature Thanatos and La Voragine as the main characters but no spoilers just yet. Wait for the manga ^^

Gundam Model display at Takashimaya

A simple example why dioramas are important in making a good first impression.

Don't really have much experience to tell whether its a scratch-build or modified model, but definitely kicks ass.

I suppose Wei Jiang likes this alot, according to the number of pictures he took for this alone (which is 5-6 shots). Yes, amazing details, interesting dioramas and a fresh new modification to the Flag. Impressive. I'm starting to like this one.

One of my favourites -- Cherudim Avalanche Gundam! Check out the bad-ass gun there. Possibly ripped from the MG Launcher/Strike Gundam.

And not to forget our Gundam 00 series' ending scene ^^
How about trying to make the scene where Seravee is frozen?

A nice reproduction of the shooting scene that appears in Gundam 00 series Season 1 Episode 1 if I'm not mistaken. However, the model doesn't look painted at all, but nice diorama there. Between, Gundam Exia is mounted on the "cliff" to the left of the picture.
After taking a closer look, it does not appeal that much like the rest of the displays to me.

Last But not least, we have the a modified Arios.

There are many other display that is not shown here, but are also nicely done.

The title race opens up again.

Many wouldn't have believed. Until the very last minute, my eyes were transfixed on the television screen, hoping that Manutd could at least make the score difference a little smaller.
Yes, Nemanja Vidic getting sent off for dragging Gerrard down just outside the penalty box had a great impact on the team. Yes, it was a sacrifice for the team, as Gerrard would have an open shot on goal if Vidic couldn't stop( and he couldn't), and as the chinese would call it "牺牲小我,完成大我." But look. Despite his sacrifice, the team were still unable to prevent Liverpool from scoring another, how ironic. However, Vidic could have counted as having atoned for his previous blunder in letting Torres get the better of him when he misjudged the ball and let it bounce dangerously, which resulted in the first goal. Yes, it spelt the road to destruction for Manutd too.
Correct me if I am wrong, Evra conceded his first penalty for Manutd in this match. That was surprising, I don't think he would be a person to make such mistakes. The last 2 goals were unacceptable for me. Van Der Sar was at the wrong spot at the wrong time, not once, but twice. Such events are quite unfortunate, for there are a few reasons why Manutd could not reproduce their terrifying form against Premier League rivals Liverpool, thus opening up the title race once again.
Firstly, Liverpool had an extra 24hr rest after their Champions League clash with Real Madrid. Manchester United did not, the starting line up said it all and the players looked fatigued. Secondly, Manchester United were making some mistakes in defence, and allowed Liverpool to take the advantage, which they exploited with no mercy. On the contrary, Liverpool was tight in defence and did not make mistakes (other than Reina fumbling with goalie catches). Thirdly, Liverpool was passing the ball smoothly. Manchester United were not. They lost possession easily, thanks to fanciful flicks and backheels.
They should do better. This was really considered a classic match in this year's EPL season as I did not even realise that time was ticking by so quickly during the match. Liverpool did great, I must say. Manchester United did not have the best of matches today, but I commend their efforts to get back when they were 1-nil down at 2-1. But I would still recommend the players going for Ferguson's hair-dryer treatment again, this time to rid their complacency clean off their minds.

Was quite annoyed, Mourinho aiming to grab 2 of Manchester United's Centre Backs. Jonny Evans and Nemanaja Vidic! They have contributed so much to Manutd's defense....it'd be sad if they weren't around. And Mourinho self-proclaiming to be shortlisted for Manutd's Manager when Sir Alex Ferguson decides to retire o_O.

For those who r interested in the battle system:

How the battle systems works:

As seen in the 2nd video...the big blue numbers above each players' hp bar is their Brave Points..The amount of damage u cause is dependent on the number of brave points u hv...

By pressing the circle button,ur character will unleash a unique set of moves call BRAVE ATTACKS,be it aerial or land,both hv different animations n damage ratio.

However,the these BRAVE ATTACKS does absolutely no damage to ur opponent's health,wad it does is bascially to DRAIN ur enemy's brave points TO URS..U may ask? wad's the point? This is where a new set of moves called HP ATTACKS comes in...

HP ATTACKS is activated by the square button,same as the brave attack,each char has a unique move too..HP attacks is the only form of attack tht can deplete ur opponent's HEALTH..example if u had 100BRAVE POINTS,ur brave attack will do 100DAMAGE correspondingly,once u successfully launch a HP ATTACK,ur brave points will automatically go back down to 0.

BREAK status occurs when one character's brave point is depleted to 0,in such a case,the enemy will gain a hell lot of BRAVE POINTS which allows the enemy to do more damage with their HP ATTACKS,in the words,GG to u...

EX mode is the transcended form of each character which can be activated by pressing the R+SQUARE button when the purple gauge beside the hp bar is full...When in ex-mode,characters will be auto buffed with protect,haste etc..in addition,normal attkacks will do more damage,limit breaks will also be available now..

Above briefly sums up the battle system,hope it helps..

Conclusion(Reviews):

Dissidia is a must get PSP-game,i seriously encourage all to get a LEGIT copy of it,this is a first time SQUARE is attempting an action genre while at the same time,allows characters from different dimensions to come together n face the villains...

Techically wise,square also did a great job at optimising n brought load times to a minimal level,glitches n bugs were also uncommon.

In addtion,the CG cutscenes were superb n quality,gamelength-wise...it can potentially last several hundred of hours due to the fact tht u can continue to power level each individual char to 99 n purchase the necessary items n skills etc...A very clever idea to improve gamelength i would say n also a good mix of RPG n action.

A very big thanks to SQUARE-ENIX 4 this wonderfully crafted masterpiece..this is where Final Fantasy takes on a new name n soar once again to a greater height.

Ah, tomorrow i will start working, so i wont be able to blog that freqeuntly anymore(I'm still having a running nose). Come to think of it, my free time is just limited to the weekends, yet i have many things still left undone. Heh, finishing my new 1/100 Gundam Virtue bought yesterday is my top priority now, but it wont just take 2 days to finish like my Gundam Kyrios. What have you guys been doing lately? Argh, my desk is still cluttered.Just some of the work i have been doing lately, this is Bryan's character, a fire-type (typical of him).Yup thats the finalized versions of my main character and his, erm, you know.Ya will be updating more and the previous artworks will be shown soon :P How many of you guys have seen this? Its called the Mighty Muggs collection. They have the Marvel,Transformers,Indiana Jones,Star Wars and alot more of series. This Ironman even has the =_= look on its face, looks kinda cute too. But these dont come cheap, i see them priced at SGD$40 for one, however, overseas its US$10 only. I think its the tax :X This is my favourite. The exclusive movie-Ironman. This spidey is quite cute too ^Heh, looks like i'd like to be getting any of these for my own collection. It'd be cool. I envy those who can collect them with absolutely no problems at all T_T (you are competing with many other collectors and money is also a problem here).Yep guys, its here =.=Looks like the team longs for its comrade to be ''born'' soon :SReleased 2nd December in the States. Today is my paternal grandmother's 1st death anniversary. My relatives and our family gathered at the Pang Clan Association at Paya Lebar to pay our respects. Kind of funny to see my own clan for the first time.
